Companies do what is right for them. Not always the right thing for people or environment.
The amusing part about all this is that the Guardian and Greenpeace act as if only one side does this. "Greenpeace argues its investigation offered a rare glimpse into the practice of clandestine industry funding of reports casting doubts about the threat of climate change." Wow, what a revelation.
Maybe they should also take a look at the left wing billionaires club using charitable organizations to promote public policy, especially on environmental issues (or using such issues for other purposes). What would have been very surprising would have been if Greenpeace couldn't find a single person to write a report questioning AGW or promoting CO2 as beneficial for plant and biological life. They found two guys.
Call me underwhelmed.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
