Why don't I show up as a Topic Leader in the topic "cats"?

I currently have 91 quest gold points in the topic "cats". When I looked at the Topic Leaders list for cats, that score should put me somewhere in the range of #19 through #22 (there are three others who have a score of 91.) But I don't find myself on there at all. Why is that?

The page break glitch There is a glitch that I’ve encountered in Askville many times on leader boards that I believe is the cause of what you’re seeing. If you’re at the cut-off of people listed on one page, then sometimes they lose you between pages. I’ve seen it happen when I’ve wobbled back and forth at #10 and 11 on the weekly Top 10.

Sometimes I’ll get a score in, go check my rank (yeah, pathetic, I know), and find I’ve totally fallen through the cracks. Sometimes I didn’t show up until I made it to #9 or fell to #12. It’s frustrating because I know you want to see your progress, and making the top 20 in a topic is a milestone.

But all I can say is rest assured that Askville does have your numbers, and as soon as your rank moves away from 19. 20, or 21, you will show up again. Best thing to do is find some more questions to answer with “cats” as the topic.

Askville can be screwy sometimes when it comes to updating boards and other calculations. Hang in there. It usually works out.

2 I think it is just a time thing! I have noticed the same thing in the leaders board.It takes them like half an hour to actually update the board with your actual gold. I have also seen a similar thing happening in topic boards.

3 I have seen this several times on many leader boards. If you happen to be on the "edge" of a page, sometimes you disappear! Maybe it's timing, maybe it's a glitch.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
