What you're suggesting is that the republicans simply let the LIBERALS do whatever they want, because "something" is better than "nothing". As you agree, California is a liberal state RUN by liberals. And as a result, look what's happened to the world's 8th largest economy: 12% unemployment $20 billion deficit Over 350,000 state employees (most of any state of the union) Over 40,000 state employees earning $100k a year or more.
Retired union employees making 125% of their salaries Out of control spending and ridiculous environmental laws that cost billions Home to 32% of our nation's welfare recipients Home to an estimated 10 million illegal aliens. State budget went from $40 billion in 1999 to over $105 billion by 2009. Ranked dead LAST in solvency and credit ratings.
Unfortunately I don't see any real end in sight to the problems our state faces. Problems that LIBERALS have created over the past 10 years. The ONLY solution is elect officials with conservative track records and policies to cut spending, lower taxes to lure business back to California, and ultimately more tax revenue as a result of higher profits.
But I don't agree that a bad liberal budget is better than no budget.
We in California need to stop the importation of goods not manufactured under the same labor and environmental laws as we have. How can we effectively compete otherwise? No, it is not alright to buy at WalMart whose products were make from exploited people and their environment.
What has happened to our morals? We don't have to put up with it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
