To blame: US. Down through the last 3 generations we have wanted more, Pay, Things, bigger houses, faster cars, instant travel, vacations etc. Big science, Well ,if we get them and we have; someone has to pay. I am trying very hard to do without and live on 600.00 a month.
It takes some planning and mostly doing things myself rather than hiring it done and enjoying at home entertainment. If you will just look at the dollars you spend going somewhere to do something you could do at home you would be shocked.
Thanks for answering :) we don't want to spend on things that we don't need. I had learned hard way not to spend money on junk stuff! Now, we're trying to save money on kids' education, house, etc.... plus gas!
But the cost kept going up, its really nuts! Foodtable 11 months ago .
The key word is "need". List everything you could not live without, put the cost out beside it. Make a list of the things you think you need, price them also .
Add the two and see what you really could live without.

We owe half to three-fourths of our GNP to others. Everything will only become more expensive. "And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine" (Revelation 6:6).
That's one day's meal of wheat for one day's wage. Or, settle for cheaper (yucky) barley and get three days' of food for that one days' pay. Yes, prices will be much worse.
