Why has Texas,ran by secessionist governor Rick Perry, taken more federal disaster relief than any other state?

With the last election, 30 states, over half, will have Republican governors. Obamacare calls for the federal government subsidizing states for 90% of their added costs for Medicaid but there is no indication of how long these subsidies would continue. Without that knowledge, the discontinuation of these subsidies could easily bankrupt every state or create huge increases in state taxes.

I wonder which state would be chosen to bail out each state as they, one by one, go bankrupt just like Greece and Spain, Portugal, etc. This law was flawed at its very base and should just go away.

Well said MEL T... they just don't understand it is the law of the land and Texas will be MADE to comply. I am surprised Perry was able to get himself out of bed let alone act in the best interests of Texans.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
