Why is an Election Interrupting the Lakers/Celts Game?

Given the NBA finals featuring a local team, the total lack of suspense in the "contest" for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination and a venue in a city that is notorious for late arrivals and early departures, its no great surprise that Jerry Brown's victory party was small and subdued. Thirty minutes after the polls closed there were only about 150 people gathered at Club Nokia -- Jerry Brown's election night headquarters. And, all of those people were fixated on the NBA finals.

Multiple big screen tvs were positioned throughout the venue and not one was tuned to a news channel. The only person not fixated on the game was Mayor Villaraigosa, who was chatting with the assembled media. But, as the clock ticked down in the fourth period, Villaraigosa peeled himself away from the bank of cameras and scrambled to reach one of the television monitors.

After the yelping about the Lakers' victory waned, Brown staff corralled the small crowd into the area between the camera risers and the ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
