Why is friday the 13th considered unlucky?

It's not unlucky. Earthquakes, tsunamis, terrorist attacks, etc. happen frequently, not only on Friday the 13; you just don't like those events to their dates because it's not a thing to do that. Also people have preconceived notions about Friday the 13, so when they happen on Friday the 13, even smaller matters get more press.

For example, ISIS has attacked Lebanon several times in recent years, none of which you probably heard about, or took notice of, until it was linked to Friday the 13.

It is unlucky only to very superstitious people. To most people it is just another Friday, regardless of date.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
