In Asia you keep the line tight. I know Americans like more space. But stand close to the person in front of you will end most of this.
In Asia you leave a gap and someone fills it. Culture thing more than being rude. Might be from how tight they pack the trains and buss's.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
