Why is Hub discouraging people asking questions?

Asking questions, in opposition to asking a question on the forums, are for individual answers without debate. At least that's what I get out of it. I noticed one time before I wanted to reply to an answer that was contrary to my own answer, and I could not reply. So, I'm guessing, Dave, that the moderator (automated, I assume) saw something about your question that would inspire debate.

@Jackie Lynnley - HP has such a small staff I highly doubt they have time to classify authors by anything other than hubber score.

Jason is right. I had also one question moderated because it says that it is more suited to the forum. Just keep on posting short questions which you think will not encourage debate.

If you really want a thorough discussion, then simply post in the forum. :).

The terms specifically state that if your question inspires a debate or discussion you need to ask it in the forums. Questions posted here in "Answers" should inspire very short responses. I don't think HP discourages us from asking questions at all.

I don't think they're discouraging asking questions but just keeping it to short answers. I had a question removed after I had several answers to it because after a few responses, it started to create what wanted to be a debate. The question worked a lot better in a forum where we could express our opinions on the topic a lot more.

I think Hub wants questions posed that have concrete answers and not opinion. If the response to your question is a personal opinion, it belongs on the forums. I guess questions like "How old were you when you got married?" would be appropriate for "questions" since it has only one possible answer.

That's my understanding of the rules anyway.

I don't think Hub Answers is for the mindless just because the questions you asked aren't accepted bud. Personally I find your comment very rude but hey, it's you. What else would one expect.

I just asked my first question so I guess I will soon learn if it was more suited to the forum than to the Answers section.

It has been helpful reading the answers to this question as it has given me a better understanding of how this area of the site is intended to work. So thanks for asking this question and thanks for the answers. Very helpful.

Because you need to pray 5 times a day to ALLAH! If not you need to become a muslim. I believe brother Dave will soon join us in Mecca.May the piece of Allah be with you.

I want to ask a question to this question but I won't do it because your question might be deleted if I do that. Sorry that you are facing these problems.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
