I don't know as thought humanity is evil, certainly there have been people throughout the centuries that would be considered evil by our standards, but a lot of the time they were doing what they had to, to survive in the time and place in which they were born. Not that I'm defending him or what he did, but even by the standards of say Genghis Khan, was a right jolly fellow. As to why there are wars, etc. It's evolutionary, basically we are "programmed" to protect our own genes, those genes extend out to our family, and our society, especially when you consider cultural thought to be a meme (an idea that evolves analogously to biological evolution). In essence division causes war, as a modern example look at Ireland, the Catholics & Protestants have been fighting for years, however they don't look different, they don't talk different, the only difference is the slight difference in their religious beliefs, take those away and there wouldn't be the bombings or killings..
We're not evil. We’re animals. Have you ever seen a lion in an old-folks home?
No, they die alone and weak and in pain. They are brutally slaughtered. But this isn't evil.
OK, OK, we have greater brains, and can abstractly reason. But, when it comes down to it, we still go after things WE want. That being said, many people act selflessly only to help others.
Look at all the charitable organizations that do make a difference. Look at all the scientists that are in it to advance humanity’s knowledge. Many professionals go into their field out of a desire to help others: doctors, police officers, firemen, nurses, even a lot of lawyers start off with good intentions before selling their souls directly to the dark lord.
Just because there have been many dark moments in history, humanity is nowhere near evil. Evil is Rasputin, Stalin, Castro, Saddam, Eichmann... We can name off those that can be considered EVIL. The good among us are too numerous to count, and much less talked about..
Humanity is not evil.... although some individuals are. And it's an unfortunate truth that those who rise to power tend to be more greedy and ruthless than the average Joe. A lot of conflict arises from misunderstanding and intolerance. So if you're wanting to change the world a little, teach tolerance.
And caution, if those can be compatible. Above all, don't despair. Life can be pretty good -- and most people are, too.
We seem to be in transition and that means change and that means we disapprove of what we were in the past much of the t So, evil is a real term and a relative term for what we think of our past. Bu I think survival goes to the lucky as often as to the strong. If the strong always won, we would still be reat lizards fighting all that we see.
Intelligence may or may not be a survival trait - he case is not yet settled. But we would not recognize or evil deeds without having part of us that is not evil. If we are good and lucky, we may move so it is easier to be good and we could manage to do less evil.
But take care when you say hat is good and which is evil. It is not always simple or evil. Many like to say all that agree with them are d and those who do not agree are evil.An easy to apply rule, but a bit more difficult to defend.
Unless, ofcourse, if you are a saint. But I would not expect that sort of judgment from a saint. Evil can be a subject of study and in turn lead to an appreciation of the good.
It has been said that to understand all is to forgive all, but I personally have my doubts. There are some things that I will not abide. But is that my evil or my good side?
Hard to tell in the abstract. Jurgen (Paperback) by James Branch Cabell "Good and evil keep very exact accounts" said the Centaur, " and the face of every man is their ledger." Sources: solbaram.org/articles/gendiv.html .
People are inherently evil They are inherently greedy and selfish, and therefore want everything everyone else has... and that's the core problem with humanity. Sources: My opinion .
" "How long is humanity's future?" "Little evil would be done in the world if evil never could be done in the name of good.
Little evil would be done in the world if evil never could be done in the name of good.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
