Fourtune isn't based on Evolution. Fourtune is based on The Four Horsemen. AJ Styles and Beer Money are already made.
They are huge stars in TNA. Kazarian is not quite at their level of stardom but he was a big deal in TNA years ago. You're right that Evolution was created more to get Orton and Batista over as main eventers than anything else.
But that's not what Fourtune is all about. Fourtune is based on and patterned after The (original) Four Horsemen. The Horsemen were a group of four "elite" wrestlers (and notice how they keep throwing that word around in TNA; same as The Horsemen did in the 80's) who came together to dominate the promotion by holding all of the championships and thus be able to dictate how things were run.
And I really thought that was what TNA was going to do with Fourtune. AJ as the World Champ, Beer Money as the Tag Champs, and Kaz as either X Division or TV Champ. The four "elite" wrestlers in TNA holding all of the gold and living an extravagant "party" lifestyle as The Horsemen did.
Morgan and Williams weren't needed in this group and were "reassigned". But before that could really take off, TNA took a huge step sideways and created that Immortal faction with Fourtune only just members of it, rather than the focus of the promotion. Looks as though Hogan and Bischoff believe that doing an nWo angle will be more popular than doing a Four Horsemen angle.
Whether or not that works out remains to be seen. But as long as they keep the core four (AJ, Kaz, and Beer Money) together, along with Flair as their manager, Fourtune can continue after the Immortal thing has been either logically concluded or just phased out because it didn't succeed. At the moment, Fourtune is rather shackled and limited because they are NOT the focus of TNA.
Immortal and Jeff Hardy are. In any case, Fourtune IS based on The Four Horsemen. The original Four were awesome and more than lived up to it's hype.
It was when they started replacing members (they never added more members beyond four) that the angle lost it's focus and it's appeal. The original replacements were already established main eventers (like Lex Luger and Barry Windham) but later replacements were mid-carders WCW wanted to elevate to main events...and that didn't work out nearly as well.
All of Fortune are already stars in TNA but only AJ is world champion material at this stage.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
