It depends on the case. If you are the only one to witness a cop committing a crime and try to put him under citizens arrest, the chance are you will get locked up instead. In cases of blatant wrongdoing by cops, be sure to have loads of witnesses and help before trying to place him under arrest, no harm in calling 911 either.
Some cops can lose their jobs for using brute force, especially if the victim of brutality presses charges.
Look at it like this if we could there would be less half of the cops that are out there now. We get a phat ticket for talking on are cell phones or not wearing a seatbelt but tell me how many times have you seen a cop on there phone while driving or how many times have you seen them with out a seatbelt on. This is when do as I say not as I do comes into play.
They can kill some one and get away with it and get suspended with pay. Now if you get caught dealing drugs you get a fast track deal of 5 years in jail. There are diffirent rules and if you are not in blue you will have to deal with years of paper work , courts and alot of money to have one in blue pay for what they have done.
But not all are the same there are good cops out there that protect us. But it seems that there are more bad then good. I think when someone becomes a officer of the law that they don't change who their are as a person and not think they are untouchable.
Because every one pays for their actions one day.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
