Why is it that when you yawn your eyes tear up?

It is because of the squeezing of lacrimal glands. The act of yawning uses those facial muscles which are related to lacrimal gland(tear secreting glands).

Also, have you noticed you get running nose too!... I mean you tend to have nasal secretion too, thats because, this excess tear go down to nose through a channel called Naso-lacrimal duct.

I often wondered that - it seems to happen to me more than anyone else I know - I really get them running down my face sometimes!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
