Why is Justin Bieber nominated for a Grammy?

Warning: my answer is based on my personal opinion, if for some cases the one reading this is a huge Bieber fan please don’t be offended and keep an open mind on my point of view. Thank you very much. * My thoughts exactly… why is Justin Bieber nominated for the most recent Grammy Awards?

Last December 1st 2010, announcement of all nominees for the 53rd Grammy Awards was announced. I wasn’t expecting a few names in it including Justin Bieber’s name. I mean, what happened with Grammys’ high standards?

What happened with their original aim upon forming the Grammy Awards which is to “cultivate a higher standard of popular taste” (source: http://didyouknow.org/grammys/)? Okay, Justin Bieber is talented. The kid can sing.

The kid can perform. But will you nominate someone on Grammys who gives the music industry songs such as ‘Baby’? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kffacxfA7G4 Justin Bieber was actually nominated on two categories: for Best New Artist award and for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Those two were even major awards. :/ Anyway in the end, he didn’t take either award. But through the years, Grammy has been stooping low.Is it because Grammys going after the mainstream media or is it just because the music industry doesn’t give us “quality” music anymore?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
