The usage of images on from Flickr on Mahalo does not violate the Flickr terms of service. Section six (6) of the TOS state that the responsibility of and for the images posted by any user on any of the Yahoo! Services is the sole responsibility of the user who did the posting.
~quote You understand that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags, or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such Content originated. ~endquote The pictures Mahalo uses here on the site are public and available for public use. If a Flickr user want there account private they can adjust the privacy settings of their account.
I have also seen Flickr users address this issue here on Mahalo Answers before and the staff has directed them to contact Mahalo directly (contact@mahalo. Com) and the pictures would be removed.
Great answer @buddawiggi! Also, it's good to clarify that all of our pictures aren't originally searched for within flickr, but actually from search.creativecommons.org/ - a "creative commons" search engine. All of our pictures from Flickr are marked as "use for commercial purposes" and "modify, adapt, or build upon".
So, they are open source, open use pictures. We never search directly from Flickr. And, at the owners request, we are more than happy to remove any picture from our front page.
Thanks for your observations! Best, Corey Mac.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
