Why is Rosalie and Jasper's last name hale not Cullen?

They're not adopted. If they were adopted it would be dating your brother or sister. I disagree with that answer, because jasper and rosalie aren't even dating, and they are NOT brother and sister.

Jasper tells Bella that his last name is Whitlock, not Hale. It was only rosalie who had the last name Hale. Every other member of the Cullen family had a different last name, but changed once they join, then they became a Cullen.

_____________________________________________________________________ Both of these answers are pretty much true, but although Jasper's surname was Whitlock, when Jessica names the vampires for Bella, she calls Alice, Edward and Emmett "Cullen"and Rosalie and Jasper "Hale." A reason to support this would be because Emmett and Rosalie are together (Cullen + Hale) and Jasper and Alice (Hale + Cullen) rather than both being Cullen + Cullen, as marrying inside the family is looked down upon. The real reason Rosalie and Jasper share the name "Hale" is because they look like they're related.

So Jasper took Rosalie's last name Hale, and they pretend that they are brother and sister. ~ Every one who posted answers are correct... Another reason for this was because Rosalie didn't want to change her last name since she was very well respected (although not by Royce) in her time and so Jazz had to take Rosalie's last name. I don't think Rose would have given in so easily unless Jazz did his mood control thing.

Now back to the last name thing: Edward was Masen, Alice was Brandon, Esme was Platt and Emmett was McCarty. Carlisle and Rosalie were the only ones to keep their last names.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
