Why is the hole in the ozone layer never mentioned nowadays?

A couple of years ago the ozone hole appeared bigger than ever, despite the banning CFCs. Mentioning the hole would be an embarrassment to those who were using scare mongering tactics in the 80's including prestigious organizations like NASA. More.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
