It could very well be because this oil has been leaking for over a month into the Gulf of Mexico and nothing is being done except bickering. Governer Jindal from Louisiana is begging for help from the government for his state that is watching their natural resources dying before their very eyes while arguments are going on about who is to blame. WHO CARES?
STOP THE LEAK AND CLEAN IT UP. This is not hurting just the United States, but it's hurting Mexico, and Central America. Where are all the "green" people who love to shout about the environment and global warming. This is a much greater catastrophe with long-term affects.
The Obama administration keeps saying that they are in constant contact with BP and have been from the beginning. Maybe they should be talking to someone else right now and deal with BP later. BP is not doing anything nor will they.
I don't know if it's because they don't care or they just don't know what to do, but either way, they need to step out of the way and get people who can possibly stop this on it. The administration is doing nothing and unfortunately for Barrack Obama, he can't blame George Bush for this.
From my own viewpoint, (which is fairly critical of this mess), my criticism stems from a lack of taking control the situation. The hearings held on who is going to pay for it is irrelevant at this stage. Putting all resources into "fixing" the mess must be top priority.
Then, you can simply hand the bill to those responsible after the fix is in place. My thought is this: quit stepping on the neck of BP to find a solution and get in there with our expert core of military engineering, fix the problem, find the cause, send the bill, (In that order).
Check this out see if it answers your question some.
I think it is because Obama has this laid back attitude in his appearance. He doesn't get overly angry where it shows so people tend to think he's not upset. But it does seem like he is letting BP take it's time with all the solutions and in a way it looks as if they are doing what they can to save the oil.
The Gov has no solution to this problem because it is not within their scope of jobs. But it did happen on his watch and everyone is finding out how in bed the oil companies were with the inspectors. But as a note as of today all the oil that has been spilt is what the US consumes in one day on a daily basis.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
