I know of a very famous family, who were very religious, Their eldest son after his whole life had been a good son and dutiful son, had got Cancer and it was terminal. The parents negected him on grounds of the religion saying that anything bad or misfortunate was gods will. They dumped him at a time when he most needed them to come together to support him.
He said all his life he was a good and noble son, it was a terrible lie to abandoned him and disgusted with the attituded of the parents, he took his family and left them to die in peace with his own wife and children. He had to cut that family out for good. He had to come to terms that his own parents were very wrong in their conduct.
He spoke about it. It makes you admire him all the more for it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
