Why is wearing pants considered a sin according to the United Pentecostal Church and other Oneness Churches?

This is a REALLY good question sis... Often we think of the body of Christ as being in one accord with the Lord, and yes this is good and God wants this so God's purposes are fulfilled by His church. I would like to touch on something wonderful. Amos 3:3 speaks of being in agreement... Amos 3:3 Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?

Well sis, this is deep, for this verse speaks of our special bonding with the Lord first. I might as well forget about walking in one accord with any of my brothers or sisters, until, I am walking in one accord with God. God and man cannot walk together, except they are agreed.

. Unless we seek his glory, we cannot walk with him. So, with that in heart and mind, if I am not in agreement with God's glory, word, and commandments, how can I expect to be bonded in agreements with anyone in a deep and meaningful way.

Being in one accord, is way deep sissy. Let us not presume on outward privileges, without special, sanctifying grace which is found only in God. There is not much use, pursuing Oneness, with anyone, until we have become so bonded with God, that we can reach out and touch others.

(cart before the horse)... If I am out of sync with God, it doesn't matter how much I wish, or any Christian believer, wishes "Oneness" or "One Accord". The Lord sanctions this, not us, but it is good that we desire and want this. Revival happens in me because of God, as I import this, then I can export and extend this unto all men.

Amen. We must be in full surrender to our Lord before His sanctifying graces will fully cleanse and renew us. As we fully submit ourselves over to the Lord, individually, becoming of "One accord" within HIM< then Oneness within the body, or ONE Accord within the body will be energized with God's very power, and breathe.

If we continue to sin, choosing sin over God, God will withhold, his blessings.... Being of ONE ACCORD is a great blessing which can't happen, until our individual trouble stops. (see Amos 3) ~ we have a Divine union with God first. His requirements.

No matter how much I may love someone, God must be in first place throughout my mind, heart and soul, for me to love others within God's intentions. As God purifies, he cleanses our egos, selfish ways, so that we can love our brothers and sisters with His very kind of love. There is a huge difference in this.

As brother Gary said, oneness, can be led by self, whereas when God removes the beam out of our eyes, and opens our Spiritual eyes, we know how to love as Him, in Him and through His sight. ((thanks Father for Gary, he headlights our walk)) So, thank you, this is such a good clarification for me, and will help my walk... God wants us to first have that special relationship in HIM It is good to break bread, and share the wine! :)).

Well that partly depends on if you are looking to God's meaning of oneness or the worlds for God's definition is different than the worlds. Oneness speaks of how the relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is and how we are to strive to be with God as followers of Him. However we in this life can only really hope to be of one accord with Him.

Being of one accord is being in agreement being one with in oneness is much more than being in agreement, it is being totally enveloped in the the other.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
