Why join ASCE?

Becoming a member of ASCE gives students a chance to apply knowledge from the classroom to "real world" situations, such as designing and building a steel bridge or a concrete canoe. Not only do students get the opportunity to apply their engineering knowledge in events such as Carolina's Conference, but they also learn about teamwork, leadership, and ethics that are needed in the engineering profession. Joining ASCE is a good way for students to meet practicing engineers.

Through business meetings, tailgates, socials, and many other activities, students make contacts with engineers on a more personal level. ASCE also gives students a chance to interact with the staff and other students outside of the classroom. Through activities such as tailgates, socials, intramural sports, and student/faculty softball games, students get a chance to relax and meet new people.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
