I have been unable to find reference to anyone disliking Hans Christian Andersen, and his main works were fairy tales so there is nothing to disagree with. The only negative reference I found was that the family of Charles Dickens found him a boring house guest who overstayed his welcome. Could you give some examples of people who dislike him?
Hans Christian Andersen is hands down one of the best authors of children's stories of all times. Some have said that his stories are too lengthy and not suited for younger children with shorter attention spans. I have always found his stories very entertaining and the imagery is always majestic.
Here is a good collection of H.C. Andersen and other fairy tales: fairytalebedtime.com/ebook/index.html.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
