Why should anyone believe that apostle Paul was telling the truth?

We know something of Paul from his seven or so genuine letters preserved in the new testament. We can be sure of very little about Jesus' message, since it is filtered through the lenses of the gospel authors writing decades later and addressing issues like the failure of the revolt against Rome, the split from Judaism, and the issue of apostolic succession and leadership. Paul's gospel, like the other Christian gospels, was certainly different to that of Jesus himself since it focused so much on the implications of Jesus' death and resurrection.

What the Christian message and Jesus' original teachings probably had in common, however, was a stress on the imminent arrival of the kingdom of God - a prediction that proved to be completely false.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
