Why was Edmund Barton famous?

Edmund Barton was born in 1849 and died in 1920 and belonged to the Protectionist Party Apart from being Australia's first Prime Minister from 1901-1903, he created the Federal Arbitration Court and the gh Court of Australia After he retired from politics, he became a gh Court judge.
