Why was Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough recalled?

For young children and the eldery, eating the raw cookie dough manufactured by Nestle Toll House can be fatal. Though no deaths was submitted, due to the pandemic, several suffered from the effects of E. Coli o157:H7.

Which causes causes abdominal cramping, vomiting and bloody diarrhea; which can damage the intenstines. Nestle Toll House does advise on all of it's packages; that the consumtion of eating raw cookie dough is unhealthy. A warning that was stronglyl disregarded by a plethora of people; resulting in 66 of E.
