You really are quite clueless. The point here is that no, they DON'T need a priest to tell them they're married...because marriage is a civil matter, not a religious one. Plenty of people get married everyday without going near a church or priest or any religious body.

The reasons for getting married are to have your relationship legally recognised....which has far more benefits than a relationship that ISN'T legally recognised in the same way. This is the whole issue - religion thinks it controls marriage. The rest of us say "nope, sorry charlie...you shut up now.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
