Why will my E-matic Camera MP3 Player not download songs, but says memory is used when I do?

I put the CD in my computer and all that pops up is the picture things and something that says copy CD. It took me two hours to download 240 songs and when I was done, I safely removed it. I went to look for the music, but it was not on there, even though it say most of the memory was used.
