Here Are The Techniques That I Use To Earn Extra Money Anytime I Need To. These Easy Money Making Ideas Can Be Used By Anyone! Get it now!
Bear in mind that HubPages is a business. HubPages supports your hubs by giving you a place to write - they do all the upkeep on the site and maintain it plus make periodic improvements. This takes time and money - you reciprocate by providing them funding through your hub earnings.
Other sites provide nothing to HP and are of no help in maintaining the site - should all hubbers use HP merely as way to send readers to other sites there would be no HP and no place to write.
Should you wish to use other affiliates or sites, cutting HP out of the earnings equation, you are certainly free to do so. Merely pay to maintain your own site and you are on your way. Seems fair to me!
Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I understand that HP is a business and uses ad revenue to support the site as well as giving me a place to write. That's why I have Google Adsense set up so that Google ads appear in all of my hubs.So I believe I'm doing my part in providing HP with income to accomplish these goals and making a little bit of money in return.
I don't think my question implied that ALL hubbers use HP to send readers away from the site. That would be unrealistic since people come here to write for a number of reasons, not just to make money. Interestingly enough, quite a few of the hubs I've read that do send hubbers away from the site also have Google ads in them so HP is still getting income from those hubs.
I'm looking for some sort of balance here where I am not penalized because I want to earn a few extra dollars above and beyond what I make through HP. Why penalize me for a link to a website outside HP when the hub it's in contains useful information as well as Google Ads and/or Amazon/eBay ads?
Of the 26 hubs I've written so far, only one promotes a product on a site other than HP. So I don't think I'm denying HP a significant amount of income from that one hub (which, by the way, also contains Google Ads, so they ARE making their fair share on that hub). When I posted it, my profile score dropped a couple of points, but it's gone back up again because I'm an active member here, reading and commenting on hubs, answering questions from time to time, and asking them as well.
I may not write as often as others, but when I do, I make sure my hubs are original, contain information that people can use and that they are well written, all characteristics that HP says it wants. So I think I deserve to be here as much as you.
If one of my employees brought their own products into my store and sold them one day a week. And then that person told me that they made me money 4 days a week and they thought it just that on that 5th day they made some extra money.
I am not trying to be offensive or rude. But HP's has made a site for one purpose and that is money. If people are sending readers (money) away from HP, they are not making money.
Even if a hub has adsense or which ever affiliate ad program, money is still leaving. It is possible the HP is looking at all the links and back-linking that is being potentially taken away. I have never looked into if HP is nofollow or not to be honest.
This seems more of a build HP up and don't tear it down.
I don't know why this question was on the HOT list when it is 7 months old and no new answers. But let's dredge it up.
Because hub pages is are very strong about not want anything from other sites.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
