I do not. I have more than one logical reason. In the past most people did not go to college.
Those attending were normally the most studious and they normally chose some professional form of occupation to study for. At that time the least demanding was a liberal arts degree. Today we have many college degrees which don't measure up to those of the past like women's studies, black studies and other non beneficial forms of basket weaving.
Today it is expected that most high school graduates will matriculate. A college education is a form of self improvement. Just like all other forms of self improvement it should be paid for by the only person directly benefiting from the self improvement.
We don't hear politicians promising free boob jobs or nose jobs because then it would show how ridiculous it is for taxpayers to pay for personal self improvement.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
