It doesn't. We evolved so that we try and make sense out of things we do not understand, hence the ability of our brains to be fooled by illusions. Research shows that people have different NDEs depending on their culture.

This tells us NDEs are a product of our brain and our culture, and is probably the brain calling on cultural teachings to try and make sense out of a difficult situation.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
