I think part of it is that wrestlig is performance art, not that different from a Theater actor or singing in a club... the same thrill of performing that draws them to wrestling may also apply to singing or acting... for what ever reason they opt to wrestle instead of the other when Wrestling pays off and they have the Name recognition, and possibly disposable income, they pursue their other dream as well... at the very least name recognition makes them more viable to the business (look at how many of the Diva Search women outright cited using WWE as a stepping stone) in other cases WWE has seen the value of 'main stream publicicty' with Hogan and Piper doing movies in the 80s, so they try to recreate that by setting up guys to do movie rols to help the company outside of a "reality' show when he was in the Indies Cena never express interest in acting before the Marine Rock tried Football before an injury pushed him int WWE -- being 3rd generation its safe to say that before WWE 'pimped him out' for a Cameo in Mummy 2 he didn't consider acting Ted DiBiase jr. another 3rd gen guy has probably dreamed of winning the WWE belt since he was in diapers, I highly doubt any conversation with pre-WWE Ted about doing Movies would have been positive given that most then, and even now are B-Movies at best and lets face it No one ever really aims to be a B-Movie Star.
In the case of someone like the Rock, there is more money in acting but there would also be a lot more time off and the thing a lot of people don't understand is that these guys are on the road all year and maybe only get 3-4 weeks off in that time unless they're injured. These people make a huge sacrifice especially if they have families because they have no life until they retire.
To get more fame is my guess, I mean for some wrestlers like john and rock it works because they are known by alot of people all over the world! But for people, like santino if he came out in a movie no one wouod care because not many people know him right?
I don't know but they shouldn't they aren't very good at it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
