Wiccans/Witches: If you could see a book written on any magic or witchcraft related topic, what would it be?

If you want to learn how to write, publish and market your own book or ebook through online channels, this Kit will walk you through the entire process, from a blank page to a finished money-maker... Get it now!

First, you shouldn't use the term Wicca at all. In fact, I beg you not to. Wicca is a religion and has nothing to do with what it seems you want to write about.

Please do not disrespect my religion by writing it into some "reckless teenager" story. Other terms for magic practitioners are sorcerer (male) and sorceress (female). Quite honestly, there's a lot to consider when writing a book besides just how "cool sounding" it is.

It seems you haven't even outlined your basic story or characters for yourself what with all these questions. If I was writing such a book and I was stuck for ideas such as these, I would do more research into mythology and folklore. Seriously, I have a few published author friends and not a one of them has ever asked for ideas on Y!A.

They research, take notes, jot down ideas when they come to them, write up story and character outlines, etc. and then work on putting it all together. One of my friend's who was recently published said that his book was mostly written over the course of several years on scraps of paper in train stations and airports and such as he was traveling the world - then when he decided to put a book together, he organized these bits and pieces and referenced his journals to recall personal experiences he wanted to include in the story. The whole point of writing a book is that YOU have a story to tell, even if a fictional one - it comes from your mind and your imagination.

Names and places and such - if you want them to have some ring of thruth to them come from doing research and seeing what best fits with your story. If I had all these ideas, then why give them to you? I would write my own story.

I also have to agree that nobody's going to take you seriously as a writer if you don't know the difference between "there" and "they're". I highly recommend spending lots of time in your local library.

I think I'll go one step further than Crystal Clear and just beg you not to write about Witches either. There are already NUMEROUS books out there giving the absolute WRONG idea of Witchcraft (and Wicca for that matter). They make Witchcraft out to be some sort of supernatural game, where teenagers go around flaunting non-existent magical powers, controlling elements, weather, changing forms, and involving werewolves and vampires.

It's exhausting for me, as a Witch, to correct the misinformation spread out there because children who read this stuff are so confused and can't tell the difference from fiction and reality! Write about something else. There's entirely too much stereotypical, nonsense crap that authors call Witchcraft.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
