Will a 8800GTS Nvidia card upscale a DVD as effectively as a standalone up scaling player to a 1080p tv?

While the NVIDIA|Nvidia card may well upscale a DVD effectively that really should not be the focus of such a purchase. Consider this... the Nvidia card will cost several hundred dollars to purchase and will take time to configure to work the way you want for upscaling. Meanwhile, you can purchase a standalone upscaling DVD player for under $100 and it is pretty much plug and play (I use the Toshiba XDE upconverting DVD Player|DVD player and it has AMAZING results and I was able to purchase it for $70 at Best Buy).

It all depends on the software you use on your computer.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
