I would actually keep a tub of cool water for the dog to get in. Put something down to cover the floor and get one of those little plastic pools...and keep water in it so he can cool himself. It will make a mess, but that is better than your dog getting brain damage or worse from the heat.
This is not good for you either by the way! In any case, make sure you keep the dog cooled down. If he does not get in the water, make sure you keep his head dampened, as well as his undercarriage, especially where his legs meet his body, guess you would call that his "leg pit?" (The only other option would be to board him until the units come in, but by the time you pay that fee, you could have bought a unit from Sears or Lowes and had it installed yourself.) Your landlord should really consider the fact that this heat cannot be good for you either.
He needs to speed that crew up. I know if you complain too much, he may get nasty about you having a dog, but the fact is... it is not only the dog that is in danger. That is not good for either of you.
I know you have been miserable. If you did not pay your rent in a timely manner, I bet he would be on his head! (And could also ask you to move.) I will never understand why landlords do not have a little more compassion and empathy for their tenants.
Good Luck and I hope they show up with your units today.
Fill your bath with cool water, presuming you have a bath 'cause not all people do. Let him relax in that. Or you could fill a paddling pool with water outside in the shade, obviously this is no good at night!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
