Will anything if someone ate some mold on a prune?

My sister thinks there might have been some mold on a prune she ate and she is obsessing over it. She said she feels really nauseous, but I think it mught just be because she is grossed out by the thought of having eaten mold. Isn't mold penicillin- If so than why are we all so grossed out by mold on food?

No Harm You would be surprised how much mold and mold spores you consume everyday in your food and even inhale in the air. Most of it is harmless. You often don't even see the mold unless it had formed colonies and an obvious thick blanket.

I know this is too old to help, but just so you know for future reference, the white stuff on your prunes is probably crystallized sugar. If you do a google search for "white stuff on prunes" you will see that most people agree that is what it is. Same thing happens with other dried fruit.

The sugar crystallizes and coats it over time. But dried fruit lasts for ages and ages, even longer in the fridge.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
