Volunteer. Get active. The more active you are, the more stuff you can put on your resume, and the more likely you will get hired.
Go to church if you feel like you need God in your life, and attend events the church offers. By doing both of these in conjunction you will start to meet new people, and you can begin to find your true purpose God has put you on this planet. Just don't stop moving.
As someone who used to suffer from depression (due to stress), I have found that the more active you are, the better you will feel. Even something as simple as run a mile or 2 each day can be very beneficial to your mental health. If you don't like running, you could walk and still get the benefits.
I absolutely agree with wrestler's answer. I would also like to add that meditation may help lift your mood and find a purpose. I have only started it recently myself, but I already feel that when I do it I am connecting to someone on a higher level and answers to my questions come flowing into my head.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
