I have never personally tried this, so I am not sure how safe it can be. But, you can lighten your hair with lemon juice. Here is what I found.
On a thread on a site called thriftyfun.com/tf431619.tip.html | Thrifty Fun, Some people have replied stating some info. This sounds about right, as I have heard this before. One comment is from a hairstylist for 35 years.
She says that you can spray a 50/50 solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water on wet hair after getting out of the shower, comb it through. This will work gradually so that its not an overnight change that shocks you. You can decide when its light enough.
Another person commented that lemon juice will lighten your hair, but it only lightens the natural shade. Chances are if you dye your hair, it can mix with the chemicals and won't turn out so good. This process is best for blonde/dirty blonde hair, and sometimes a light brown.
Black hair color may result with a reddish tint of a highlight, and brown will result in a lighter shade. Lemon juice lightens your hair by working with the suns UV rays. So if your not going to be in the sun very often, you may not want to use this option.
She goes on to state that you cannot use a blow dyer to make this process work. The heat is not what it looks for... She states that the directions to use lemon juice in your hair is as follows: This process works best on dirty unwashed hair. Make sure you have actual lemon juice from the store, or fresh squeezed lemon juice.
Apply the lemon juice to the areas you want the lightening. You can apply to just a few sections as if you were getting highlights, or you can apply to your whole head- but depending on the length of your hair, you may need a lot of lemon juice and/or lemons. After applying it, go outside.
Sit in a sunny area where you can receive direct sunlight. Wear sunscreen on your skin, you will be out there for at least 30 min (ehow.com/how_2145909_lighten-hair-lemon-... | ehow. Com mentions to sit out for an hour).
After 30 min, go and wash the lemon out of your hair. Repeat this process until its as light as you want it. You may want to consider doing this process once or twice a day, rather than repeatedly in one day, depending on how light you want it, and how dark your natural color is.
When washing, you want to use a good conditioner for your hair - between the lemon juice and the sun, your hair cant get damaged. My personal choice would be a clarifying shampoo/conditioner. Herbal Essences has a great one and at Wal-Mart its about 2.50 a bottle.
Deep conditioning treatments would be good about once a week as well. This is to prevent damage. If you have thin or brittle hair, you need to take extra precaution.
These highlights are permanent, and will last until your hair grows out or is colored over - just like at the salon.

1Mix the lemon juice and the warm water together in a measuring cup. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. 2Spray the mixture onto your hair until your hair is damp.
You'll get the best results if you spray the lemon juice on unwashed hair. 3Sit out in the sun for 1 to 2 hours. Make sure that you wear sunscreen on your skin to protect yourself from getting a sunburn.
4Take a shower and apply a deep conditioner to your hair. The citric acid in lemons is very drying, so you'll need to rejuvenate your hair after lightening it with lemon juice. 5Repeat the process weekly until your hair turns the color that you want.
You may have to spray the lemon juice on your hair up to 4 times before you notice a significant difference. 1Combine the lemon juice and the conditioner in a small bowl. You may want to use a whisk to mix the ingredients together.
2Place a towel around your shoulders. Scoop the mixture out with your hand and rub it over your hair. Then, use a wide-tooth comb to comb the lemon juice and conditioner through your hair.
3Sit in the sun for 1 to 2 hours. Slather on some sunscreen to keep yourself from getting a sunburn. 4Rinse the lemon juice and conditioner off in the shower.
Shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would. 5Repeat the regimen once per week until you notice a difference. Then, keep repeating the lightening process until you get the color that you want.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
