Will Obama's "redistribution" of money plan affect someone who is not really rich and not really poor?

It's not redistribution, it's restitution. What the Bush/McCain machine has done to this country is a crime and what Obama is trying to do is provide restitution to some of it's victims. When President Bush took office, their was no deficit.

Now eight years later there is a $10,000,000,000,000.00 debt because his administration has completely looted the U.S. Treasury. They have funneled money from tax receipts to their favored cronies via the Iraq war. They have siphoned off trillions of dollars from the public and sent it to Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries and to their buddies in the oil industry.

And now in a final coup, they have transfered billions more to their banking friends on Wall Street via the economic bailout plan. Obama's plan provides for a windfall profits tax on the oil companies to try to get some of that money back. It will be used to provide an immediate $1000 per family emergency energy rebate and to help fund alternative energy research and development. It's just a fraction of what was stolen from us, but at least it's partial restitution.

In addition to that, there will be a $1000 per couple tax credit for everyone. Seniors making less than $50,000 will pay no tax at all. Small businesses and startups well receive various tax breaks, also.

Whether Obama's tax plan helps someone who is "not really rich and not really poor" depends on your definitions of rich and poor. Anytime the tax system is changed, some people win and some people lose. Under Obama's plan, approximately 95% of the population will see a tax benefit.

More importantly, every American will benefit from a new direction for our country that brings back respect from our international partners and restores pride in our leadership. These things didn't work for USSR, Cuba, E. Germany, China, Romainia... why America? This kind of Gov’t hasn’t worked for many countries of the world. Many are mixing in capitalizm and modeling themselves to be more "free market" and it is helping their economies and their people.

The tax credit plan and other social schemes designed to "level the playing field" will not hurt the rich. They will move out of country... take their businesses elsewhere or come up with something that will help them to hold onto what they have. Obama plans to penalize companies that take their operations outside the USA do he is already planning to head off their escape but he can’t plug all the exits at once.

They will cut their expenses (cut employees, cut salaries of employees, etc. ) and that pain will trickle down to all of us and the middle-class who are the working force will be hurt more than the poor who are mainly benefit from these programs. Do you know that there is a huge population of people that can work and don't in this country? They will get a bigger piece of those that do work through the tax structure and other programs.

Hard to tell who is really unable to work and who is able... the "Welfare Queens" and "Poverty Pimps" of the nation own us because the people know how to "milk" the system well in the USA.

1 Well, it depends upon what you mean by really rich and really poor. You will get a tax cut if you make less than $250,000.00 a year. Now, making less than that in Beverly lls probably does qualify you as really poor, but in most places, folks just don't bring in that kind of dough.

The bulk of his plan affects the elusive "middle class. " .
