I agree with you. The GOP has been badly damaged, first by Bush-Cheney, the Conservative fundamentalists, the tea party and then by the capitalists agenda. Their candidates have been less that satisfactory and their dirty backroom deals have left a sour taste in most middle class voters, including moderate Republicans.
Facts don't lie and the leaders of the GOP have failed to produce a qualified candidates for over a decade. Their egos are so big they think they can rewrite the US Constitution, suppress voters rights and buy the election. This could go either way, this is the Libertarians to take the place of the GOP, if they come up with a more moderate viable candidate, or the GOP can fire all the old capitalists and elect a younger, moderate group with honest middle class values.
If they don't there will be no GOP in ten years. Romney is wrong on so many levels even if he had the ability to sell himself, which is does not, he still couldn't get himself elected. He has the personality of a snake oil salesman and the irony of that is that's exactly what he is.
Ryan, if taken at his word is far right. He isn't religious right though. Like the last VP candidate Romney loses, the next nomination will go with someone who at least pretends Evangelical Christianity.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
