I don't see how that is possible. We have an astronomical amount of problems that the next president will inherit. We're at war and facing a global economic crisis.
Russia is making some people suspicious that they're thinking about restarting the cold war. At least two of our enemies are trying to get nuclear weapons. I don't know if the next president will be the unluckiest one in history, but he might be.
Lincoln was certainly one of the unluckiest. S election triggered the Civil War. He had to deal with that horrible war throughout his presidency and almost as soon as it was over, he was shot.
Then there was Harrison, who some might consider less lucky than Lincoln. He gave a long inaugural speech on a rainy day, caught pneumonia, and died a month later. There are few presidents I would consider lucky.
The only one that comes immediately to mind is Theodore Roosevelt. He enjoyed being president. Very few of our presidents have enjoyed their time in office.
Teddy found it an adventure and enjoyed every minute of it. Reagan, Clinton, JFK, and Teddy Roosevelt were among the few that enjoyed their years in the White House. The president who inherits the current mess might just be the unluckiest president in history.
He certainly won't be the luckiest.
How do you figure: 2 wars, a recession, threat of terrorists, a disillulsioned country thanks to a failing presidency the last eight years, mounting debt, fear that we are no longer respected abroad, desiring to restore our reputation and stature. I would say the next President has the worst situation to inherit since Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and even he had only one problem at a time (Depression, then war). I think he has a great deal of work ahead of him, and we, the people, have to put our support behind him whoever that is.
Are you crazy?! Whoever wins will have one term. Nobody can possibly reverse the world-wide damage and cleanup up the mess left by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld.
And when it doesn't happen in 4 years, which it likely won't, we'll have someone else try.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
