Dos games like wolf3d won't run on Vista in full screen and on xp the sound does come on, but the background music is always missing. I don't like using dosbox cause the settings have to be chaged for every game and speed. Sound and movement is never as accurate as it should be.
So I play all dos games using a win 95 or win 98 computer. Does win 7 have this problem with running dos games too like vista and xp? Asked by ssnader 11 months ago Similar questions: windows run Dos games properly Computers > Software.

I hate to be vague, but there isn't one single answer, as you have found out. My strong guess, is that you will NOT be successful playing DOS stuff on W7 boxes. The underlying issue is that a lot of early DOS stuff did direct writes to devices, instead of through Windows-managed buffers which is how it happens today.
You can't blame DOS - that's all we had at the time; Windows device management came much later. And Windows simply doesn't allow direct application writes to devices, except in VERY rare occasions. (That's what the whole Windows drivers structure deals with) .
Do you know any POS software I can get that works with the DOS (aka command prompt). " "Dos Games screen burn? " "I am looking for the best mindmapping software for both macs and windows.
Thank you. " "Ugh! If my computer goes into DOS from Windows & says "Fatal Errors, Dumping Memory", can my stuff still be recovered" "Is there a Linux distribution that will allow me to also install and run Windows XP programs and games?" "If I have software that is in Windows Vista compatible, but Windows 98/ME, then is it possible to use this software?
" "unix utilities I can run on windows" "why won't my computer run any games? " "Is it okay to buy software, such as Windows XP from China?" "Can I run windows from a cd or usb?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
