I am familiar with the "eternal hang" at the blinking cursor, but this is the first report I know about for "hangs a second, and restarts". All Windows systems will show the blinking cursor if it takes more than one second for it to find the startup files, so to see a blinking cursor for one or two seconds means nothing. This restart business is the odd thing.
I am searching now for the automatic restart after hanging a moment, and nothing comes up that seems useful. Here is another thing that seems odd... If you just installed Windows on a blank partition, and it hasn't worked for even ten seconds, why are you trying to fix it? No way I will spend even ten minutes thinking about this.
Boot to the Windows 7 DVD, format the partition, and install again. One thing I'm wondering is this: Can you still boot into OS X? If not, I fear you made a colossal mistake and formatted the wrong partition.
The other partition is not fixed in Boot Camp for boot, so even though you can format it with the Windows DVD, and install Windows with no glitch, it is not a reliable boot volume. Boot Camp creates a hybrid partition, and any other method of installing Windows is not reliable on an EFI computer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
