With blonde highlights do I have to remove them before dyeing the whole head?

My friends sister wants to dye her whole head blonde, she is naturally a light brown and has blonde hightlights already. Do I have to dye her whole head her naturally color then dye it all blonde from there, or can I dye the brown parts first then do the highlights.. what will make it allll ONE color? Color just do the color everywhere but the highlights, do not color any of it, it'll be harder to get the right color. I suggest a weave into approach. Put more and more highlights in till it is all blond.It is less of a dramatic difference that way, and less frightening!

Maby this will help: I suggest you buy a semi permanant or permanant hair dye that is the blonde you want to use and dye the whole head with it, If the hair is too dark though then the dye may not color the hair corectly. You may want to try a light hair bleach, you would want to apply the bleach starting half an inch from the hairs root (it sometimes burns the scaulp) and don't keep it on too long (hair bleach can make your hair break off/fall out if left on too long).
