Wondering why there were so few well dressed people at the Costume Institute Gala at the Met. Isn't it for fashion!?! So why so many messes?

Some people have bizarre ideas about fashion. However, keep in mind that fashion is pretty much exclusively focused on one's opinion, not fact, which explains why some people think that they look fantastic in what amounts to a gunny sack with designer logos slapped all over it. As in: the tuxedo-looking...thing...that Victoria Beckham wore.

What in the world is going on with those sleeves? She could get some serious airlift if she started flapping her arms. However, she apparently thinks that she looks great in that outfit.

That, or she wore it on a dare - I don't quite know which. I also think that part of the attraction to hideous outfits is the attention factor. These folks are, after all, making the celebrity-gossip rounds."There's no such thing as bad publicity" comes to mind.

Check out MTV's coverage of the best- and worst-dressed of the event - good stuff.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
