Try out Pandora.com After you get there and sign up for a free account, start creating a radio station. Add songs and groups that you like to your station. Then when you start listening to your station, Pandora will add other songs to your station that are similar to the music you have there.
They use a pretty advanced system to analyze your choices, and that system does a really good job of selecting new music that you might like. Also finetune.com does a similar thing. It is not as good as Pandora but it is still really good.
Unlike Pandora that just uses the songs and groups you like as suggestions to how they create your station, with Finetune, when you add a song, it is added to a playlist and it will definitely play the song. Finetune can also suggest other music you may like. A few others that I have not personally tried but a friend of mine uses with some regularity: radio-locator.com/ shoutcast.com/ http://www.last.fm http://www.live365.com I would also recommend checking out the radio stations in iTunes.
Finally, iTunes has a genius feature built in that will recommend music that you may like based on your playlist. If you are interested in dance, electronic, ambient, or techno check out www.ministryofsound.com Check out nike.com. At the Nike Plus site, they have a lot of music related stuff and good playlists to run to.It is free to use as well!
While VPR has one of the highest rates of listening, per capita, in the country, Sunday listening to VPR has always been relatively low compared to stations of similar size. In our research of those stations, we discovered that all of them reserved the weekend evening hours for music, but maintained a daytime schedule of news, information, humor and lifestyle programming. That is the primary factor that led us to decide to try this new lineup.
While the transition to the new schedule may jolt some of our listeners, we truly believe that over time, the new programming line-up will attract more listeners and prove to be a satisfying mix for a majority of those who tune in.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
