As "cult" is a pejorative term, it would stand to reason that any relations between 2 such groups would be adversarial rather than deferential.

All religions are cults until mainstream society becomes accustomed to their presence.

Sorry tickles. I didn't realize that you're a regular here. The basis of my answer is derived from the definition of the word itself.

A cult usually refers to strange practices or behavior outside the ordinary. Religions at their inception are nearly always regarded as bizarre and even subversive by the societies in which they arise. Christianity is a perfect illustration.In the first century a.d.

To the average Roman, Christianity was a strange cult, and was described as such in literature and edicts of the time. Within 20 years its rapid spread throughout the empire, began to raise concerns that Christianity might be more than a silly cult, and might be a threat to the cohesion of the state itself. Anyway, you know the story.

If a cult is old and popular, it enjoys the title of a religion. If a cult is new, small or unpopular, it is denigrated by the established cults, (RELIGIONS), and is called a cult. Like the comedian Dave Gardener used to say…”Beloved, it all depends on how you study it and think upon it”.

One man’s cult is another man’s religion. Have you noticed that the faithful of one religion consider all the others to be invalid and his to the only true religion? This actually makes a devout, “true” believer an atheist toward all religions save his own.

They never seem to realize this; I find it humorous.

I can visulise many (not all) religions combining and joining together under one umbrella. Some people sit on a thorn too long and it turns them mean. Thanks!

The joining of the various religions has been a hope since before I went to college. THat was many moons ago and it appears that such a hope will not be realized.

With cults, there is usually ways in which they attempt to force members into submission. They may have recruitment practices that involve such things as sleep depravation.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
