I read all 3 "Girl With..." books. I liked them. Very graphic in some places.

Lots of references to Swedish landmarks, neighborhoods etc that don't mean anything to me as I have never been there. The books are dark but I enjoyed them. I also watched all 3 of the movies.

I got so caught up in the story that I did not even notice the subtitles. Great adaptation from book to film. There is suppose to be an American version coming out soon.

I don't see how they can top the Swedish. The books are mysteries with a bit of sex, violence, revenge thrown in. Strong female lead.

I would not recommend the books or the movies to anyone who is easily shocked or offended.

A good read although the tone can be a little dark for some people. There is a lot of Swedish cultural/political background, but over-all a good mystery with well rounded characters. You will be intrigued by Lisabeth.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
