The Germans were trying to hit the docks and warehouses along the Thames and major railway stations - things in the East End and well away from any royal palaces. However,the technology for accurate bombing (even in daylight) didn't exist in WW2,so as mentioned by earlier answerers,some bombs did hit Buckingham Palace and its grounds,but the major targets were in the East End so that's what the Germans were attacking.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
