I prefer going forward 100 years in the future, because we know what happened before 100 years, and we can read about them through the internet or books. But the future is unpredictable. We don't know how the world will look like after 100 years. So I prefer travelling 100 years forward.
:).
Well if I went back it would be 1909 and ten years later the great depression and war breaks out so I must say I rather go forward.
Lol I rather go forward...I don't like to go back in life...I think forward means progress.
Given the choice between a journey one hundred years into the past and one hundred years into the future, I would choose one hundred years into the past. Why? From the 31st of July 1909, I could look forward to an extraordinary life, easily able to witness most of the twentieth century, one of the greatest time periods in the history of mankind.
Not only could I witness some of the greatest, titanic struggles between good and evil that where ever fought, but I could be an active participant in them as well. So as a simple answer: I would join either the French Foreign Legion or the Dutch KNIL, and try to survive two World Wars, fighting as a grunt in the first and a division level officer in the second; and as far as what I would seek in all of this: adventure mostly, getting to see extraordinary things I can only dream about as of now.
I would choose to go forward in time 100 years. There are obvious things that I'd want to see, such as how my children (and grandchildren) turn out, what kinds of new technologies are used, and what the top news stories are. More importantly though, I think I'd want to see how the world has turned out due to what people are doing today; I'd want to see whether our environment is still being preserved, whether global warming has gotten worse, whether pollution and smog still exist.
I would then bring this knowledge back to present time to try to make sure that what we do will have a positive impact on the future.
Go forward in time 100 years. I will see how much progress the people in the world have made . There will be a Robot in every home doing chores.
People will clap their hands the window will open. There will no pollution. Everything will be green or totally organic. No more Going Green Signs but Gone Green signs.lol.
If you go forward 100, then you've accomplished both -- you would have lived in the future and, by virtue of starting today, 100 years previous.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
