I am not at that age either, but my parents are in that age group and do it when they can. I would if I was in that age range. The grocery store will get their money back from the manufactures anyway.So, going by that, you really aren't taking anything extra away from the grocery store.
Now at a restaurant it might be different, and I think many restaurants will have conditions like so on their coupons. Many will say something like "not good in combination with any other coupon or discount". As long as it's not against the coupon's or store's terms and conditions, I see no problem in it.
You might as well save as much as possible. I don't feel the company is losing money overall by offering senior citizens discounts or they would have them.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
